Pieces of peace

Pieces of peace

2020 has been rough... Can I get an Amen?!

Working professionals had to get acclimated with new technologies, systems and protocols while parents where already struggling with work life balance had to add distance learning and homeschooling to the mix. We all have had to adjust to less outside socialization and focus more on the inside, which is exactly what I've been doing. If you're in a place where you feel stuck or need some sort of inspiration, I hope these help you find peace and understanding during this time.

I've always been a fan of journaling. It helps me clear my head and find new direction when I'm lost. #burnafterwriting has some awesome prompts that help you discover little hidden places in your personality that can give you better perspective. It also helps knowing that you're going to burn it after you're finished :)

It's like a confessional of your character traits. It takes you through a journey of your childhood, traumas, past relationships, and gives you a non-judgmental space to process. You can pick one up here for around $8, matches not included :)

#2 The other MUST HAVE for 2020 has been this awesome Coloring Bible. Being a creative type can sometimes hinder reading long verses and passages from the bible, but this has been truly a gift from God. I bought the large print so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed and it keeps me reading longer than any other bible I've ever owned.

I bought some colored pencils and leave them next to it so that if I'm in the mood I can let that creativity flow while studying. The pages are made up of Gods word, beautiful illustrations, quotes and doodles, just waiting for someone to color them in. If you're like me and need a creative outlet while you read your bible then definitely pick one up here.

#3 The last and finial most precious thing that brings me clarity and are definitely my little pieces of peace are these two. They have taught me so much about patience, respect, love, kindness, the list goes on. There isn't a day that goes by that they don't provide a moment of reflection for me. They challenge me in the best way possible. What are your pieces of peace?
